This comic tracks a relationship through several years, centered on one recurring trait: the woman finishes the man's sentences. In the first year, the man finds it charming and says "I love the way you finish my sentences!" In the second year, she finishes his proposal ("Will you marry...") with "you? Of course!" -- still sweet. By the fifth year, however, the novelty has worn off and he snaps, "Stop finishing my goddamn sentences!" She finishes it for him.
The escalation continues: in the tenth year, he says "I want a..." and she completes it with "divorce!" In the eleventh year, he pleads "Please don't take custody! I love the..." and she finishes "kids!" Finally, in the twelfth year, he pulls a gun and shouts "Die!" but she finishes with "Bang!" -- the sound of the gunshot. The comic is a darkly comedic take on how an endearing quirk in early romance can become a source of profound irritation over time, escalating to absurd extremes. It also plays on the irony that the very trait he once loved becomes the instrument of every stage of the relationship's deterioration, including its violent conclusion.
