Explanation
This comic presents a single panel with a teenager on the phone, clearly calling his father in a panic. The dialogue is a masterclass in transparent lying: "Hi, Dad, my... uh, FRIEND got his, uh, penis-shaped thing stuck in a vacuum that''s the same as yours. How would you... do you think... go about extracting it? On an unrelated topic, please don''t come downstairs for another hour." Every element of the call is an obvious tell -- the emphasis on "friend," the overly specific detail that the vacuum is "the same as yours," and the desperate request for privacy.
Below the panel, a caption reads: "The answer to every question that begins with ''I wonder if my parents know that I...'' is ''yes.''." This delivers the comic''s broader observational humor -- teenagers invariably believe they are being subtle and secretive, while parents almost always know exactly what is going on. The phone call itself serves as a perfect illustration: the kid thinks he is being clever with the "my friend" cover story, but no parent would be fooled for a second.
The votey panel adds a meta-joke in which someone asks the author "What''s with you and penis vacuums?" and the author defensively responds "How did you find out about that?!" When the questioner clarifies they meant the comics, the author awkwardly backtracks with "Uh... me too..." -- turning the comic''s theme of transparent self-incrimination back on the cartoonist himself.
