Explanation
This comic presents an absurd alternate-history scenario that attempts to put a positive spin on Hitler. The narration explains that aliens needed a "gripping area near human mouths" to begin their invasion, and it had to be "the right shape and size, and be worn by over five percent of the humans." A man is sent back in time to ensure no human mouth would have that shape when the aliens arrived -- the implication being that he is Hitler, and the toothbrush mustache he popularized was so thoroughly stigmatized after World War II that nobody would ever wear it again, thus inadvertently saving humanity from alien invasion.
The narration solemnly states "History will loathe him. But he saved us. He saved our future." The final panel reveals this entire scenario originated from a drunken bet in a political science department: "Okay, but I bet you five drinks nobody can think up a good spin for Hitler?" The comic is a meta-joke about the impossibility of defending the indefensible -- the entire elaborate sci-fi premise is the most ridiculous possible attempt to find a "good spin" for one of history's greatest monsters, and the punchline admits it was never meant to be taken seriously.
