Explanation
The Joke
A woman explains to a friend that she created a neural network that analyzes images and is "so smart it can look at an image and use AI to find out everything about it, complete with context and subtext." She then reveals her more sinister creation: a worm (malware) that infiltrates people's data, understands their photos, and then "contextualizes all your most embarrassing photos into the background of your normal photos." After six months of the worm running, all those innocent photos the victim sent to family members -- like the ones sent to Mom -- now contain embarrassing hidden content.
The final panel shows the result: a photo that was supposed to be a pleasant image now includes the text "SEXOIL FOR BUTT STUFF BY PARTICULAR - 17 GALLONS" and "Having a great time in Prague!" superimposed on it, making it look like a deeply compromising image that had been sent to the victim's mother.
The Humor
The comic taps into modern anxieties about AI and privacy. The joke escalates from an impressive-sounding AI capability (image analysis) to a nightmarish application of that same technology (retroactively embarrassing you in front of your parents). The specific detail of the final panel -- the absurdly named "Sexoil for Butt Stuff" product appearing in a photo sent to Mom -- is deliberately over-the-top, making the nightmare scenario both horrifying and hilarious. The comic also satirizes the tech industry's tendency to build impressive technology without considering (or deliberately ignoring) its potential for misuse.
