Explanation
This comic satirizes performative charitable behavior and the social dynamics around generosity. A person offers to buy their friend a burger, saying "Wanna get a burger?" The friend responds suspiciously: "What're you doing?" The first person explains they're "trying out a new thing where every time someone expresses a thought, I express the least charitable interpretation." The friend then demonstrates the problem with this approach by saying "This gives me a feeling of having superiority... too stupid to see..." But the punchline flips it: the friend asks them to "please, please don't bring internet culture into real life." Then the final retort: "Oh, so your life is so much more important than other people's?" The comic skewers the internet habit of always assuming the worst possible interpretation of what someone says (known as "uncharitable interpretation" or "steel-manning's opposite"). It shows how exhausting and antisocial this behavior becomes when applied to face-to-face interactions, and how it creates an infinite regress where every response can itself be uncharitably interpreted.
