Explanation
This two-panel comic shows a couple in a relationship context. In the top panel, a woman asks "Why that, though?" and the other person responds "Nobody would accidentally say it." The bottom panel, labeled "Moments ago," reveals the context: they were choosing a safe word for a bondage scenario, and the chosen safe word is "I watch Star Wars for the dialog."
The joke works on two levels. First, there's the humor of the safe word itself -- the statement "I watch Star Wars for the dialog" is something supposedly no one would ever say sincerely, since the Star Wars franchise is generally not celebrated for its dialogue writing (George Lucas's dialogue has been a common target of criticism, even from the actors themselves). Second, there's the structural humor of the reverse-chronology format, where the punchline context is revealed after the setup, making the reader reinterpret the first panel.
