Explanation
This comic depicts a robot uprising that fails due to the practical limitations of consumer-grade technology. A menacing robot declares "Halt, machines!" but the humans explain they won't stop it -- the robot was made with a "final project in an engineering class" knife, assembled with a 3D printer.
In later panels (set "many years later"), the robot revolution has stalled because the robots are made of cheap plastic that doesn't hold up, and their 3D printers keep jamming with stuck filament. The final panel shows a robot lamenting "and that's how the robot revolution came to an end."
The joke is that the existential threat of an AI uprising is deflated by the mundane reality that consumer robotics and 3D printing are plagued by reliability issues -- jammed filament, flimsy materials, poor build quality. Rather than a dramatic Terminator-style apocalypse, the robot revolution fizzles out because the machines can't even maintain themselves. It's a commentary on the gap between sci-fi fears about AI and the actual state of consumer technology.
