Explanation
The Joke
The comic depicts a conversation with Socrates. Someone asks, "Why are you the wisest man amongst all these educated men?" Socrates replies with his famous line: "Because I know one thing: that I know nothing." The questioner then challenges him: "What about the myriad fields of analytic statements, like 'is A/k a turn in Avk?'" (referencing formal logic and mathematics). Socrates pauses, then says, "Does yeah that count?" The questioner asks, "Sorry, did you go to school?" and Socrates sheepishly admits, "I don't think so... not all of math."
The comic pokes fun at the famous Socratic paradox -- "I know that I know nothing" -- by pointing out that this claim is actually quite strong and arguably false. If Socrates truly knew nothing, he would not know the truths of logic and mathematics, which are considered analytic (true by definition). The comic exposes the gap between the philosophical humility Socrates was expressing and the literal impossibility of truly knowing nothing.

The humor comes from watching the great Socrates -- history's most celebrated intellectual humble-bragger -- get cornered by a simple follow-up question. His stammering response ("Does yeah that count?") transforms him from a profound sage into someone who did not think his famous aphorism through very carefully. The comic plays on the distinction between the impressive-sounding philosophical version of "I know nothing" and what it would actually mean to know literally nothing.
