The Joke
Two women are having a conversation. One says she hates the Purge movies because nobody would actually go around killing people -- they would just be happy and dance. Her friend counters: "If you were really a nice, safe person, you would eat dangerous, like nobody's watching." The first woman deflects, saying nothing is dangerous anymore since the whole world is managed "like nobody can get your fingernails."
The friend then delivers the real zinger: "Now you just cured me of any desire to announce what I'd do on a purge. My mind was, I was not going to Purge Dream and build a new home, if necessary." The conversation reveals that each person's "innocent" Purge fantasy still contains revealing quirks and neuroses.
The Humor
The comic plays on the common conversation people have about what they would do during a "Purge" (a scenario where all crime is legal for a set period). People like to claim they would do something wholesome or harmless, but even their innocent answers reveal something odd about their personalities. The humor comes from the way the conversation keeps twisting -- each attempt to seem normal and well-adjusted backfires into something strange. It satirizes how people perform moral superiority while discussing hypothetical lawlessness, and how even the most "I would just be nice" responses contain weird undercurrents.

"The Purge" is a horror film franchise (beginning in 2013) set in a near-future America where all crime, including murder, is legal for one night per year. The films explore themes of class, violence, and social order. A common social media and party conversation topic is asking people what they would do during a Purge, with many people claiming they would do something benign rather than violent.
