The Joke
A weatherman on a news broadcast announces: "And today's forecast calls for an all-time low in humility." His female co-anchor whispers that she thinks he meant to say "humidity." The weatherman snaps back: "I don't give a shit what you think, Shirley."
The Humor
The joke operates as a self-fulfilling prophecy. The weatherman appears to have made a simple malapropism, saying "humility" (modesty) when he meant "humidity" (moisture in the air). His co-anchor politely tries to correct him. But his response -- a hostile, dismissive, profane put-down -- immediately proves that his original statement was actually correct: there is indeed a record low in humility, and he is the living proof. The comic plays with the audience's expectation that the error will be corrected, only to reveal that the "mistake" was the truest thing said in the entire broadcast.
