uncanny-2
Explanation
This comic is another dark-panel bedroom scene (similar in format to "juice-2"), with only speech bubbles visible.
One person says: "I AM attracted to you, but could you try to be more... uncanny?" The other responds: "Also can we roleplay that your hands don't make any sense?"
The caption reads: "The longterm effects of AI generated porn will not be fully realized for decades."
The joke plays on the well-known flaws of early AI image generation, particularly its tendency to produce images that fall into the "uncanny valley" — looking almost human but slightly off in disturbing ways — and its notorious inability to render hands correctly (often producing hands with too many or too few fingers, or fingers bending in impossible directions).
The comic imagines a future where people who grew up consuming AI-generated pornography have had their sexual preferences shaped by these visual artifacts. Instead of finding the uncanny valley unsettling, they've been conditioned to find it arousing. They now ask their real human partners to look "more uncanny" and to roleplay having nonsensical hands — because that's what they associate with sexual imagery.
It's a commentary on how the media we consume shapes our desires and expectations, taken to an absurd but logically consistent extreme. The comic was published in October 2022, right around the time AI image generators like DALL-E and Stable Diffusion were gaining mainstream attention, making this a very timely observation.
