The final panel delivers the punchline with someone saying "you guys give yourselves away" or similar, suggesting that the person making the grand claim about universal cultural myths was essentially just rediscovering basic facts about human biology and agriculture and dressing them up in mythological language.
The comic satirizes a tendency in certain academic and popular intellectual circles to make grandiose claims about "universal myths" or "archetypes" that appear across all cultures (in the tradition of Joseph Campbell's "monomyth" or Jungian archetypes), when sometimes the commonalities between cultures have much simpler explanations rooted in shared biology, geography, or basic human needs. Not everything that is universal is profound -- some things are universal simply because all humans need to eat, sleep, and reproduce.
